Exams, self-study and limitation of preparatory classes
The CISI examinations are designed to be self-study oriented for a global audience. Candidates who register for certain exams will benefit from a wealth of resources provided by CISI. For the Corporate Finance Qualification in Indonesia, CISI provides complimentary pdf workbook and e-learning resources complimentary as part of the exam fees.
Our preparatory class is not mandatory and is provided to supplement available material from CISI and enrich the student with insights and experience of industry professionals in Indonesia. Because of the difference in regulatory environment in which the tutors are active in (Indonesia vs UK), we encourage students to register for the exam and make use of the interactive e-learning tools to have an in-depth understanding of UK regulatory law.
To pass the exam, the recommended self-study hours required is 80 hours per module (160 hours for corporate finance qualification). Our preparatory class's duration is circa 42% of the required self-study hours, hence we don't attempt to encompass all subjects of study. Those who participate in our preparatory class must understand and accept this limitation.
Participant Profile and Objective
In partnership with ICAEW, CISI has created a progressive study programme for the development and recognition of corporate finance expertise. The programme starts with the CISI Certificate in Corporate Finance and is then followed by the CISI/ICAEW Diploma in Corporate Finance. Upon successful completion of both qualifications, practitioners can gain recognition of a full Corporate Finance qualification from ICAEW.
The Certificate in Corporate Finance develops the essential foundation knowledge required to work in the corporate finance industry, including regulation, techniques and how corporate finance transactions are developed to meet client needs. There are no entry requirements and the exam is open to all levels. This programme is suitable for anyone who wants to work in the field of corporate finance.
Qualifications and Benefits
The Certificate in Corporate Finance is regulated by Ofqual as a level 3 qualification. Success in this qualification carries with it 8 RQF credits for each of the module. On the European Qualifications Framework, this equates to a level 4 qualification.
Recognised by the FCA - the Certificate in Corporate Finance features on the Financial Conduct Authority’s Appropriate Qualification tables (regulated activity 8).
Approximately 160 hours of study is required for this qualification (80 hours for each unit).
